Michelle Borok who is coincidentally Year of the Dragon, began as a clerk at Giant Robot LA and quickly found herself managing all locations, curating exhibitions, building the brand, and needless to say, much much more. She will be moving to Mongolia.

I’m often asked for food recommendations, so instead of re-writing a list of restaurants & attaching pictures to e-mails every time someone asks, I thought I’d make it easier on everyone.
If you share my palate, then you’ll like everything I recommend.

Linkin Park's Chester Bennington headlined the second annual Stars of the Season, which drew a packed house of 520 to the beautiful Montelucia Resort & Spa on Saturday, Nov. 12.The evening was dedicated to raising funds for Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa. The proceeds will help expand and enhance services offered in the pediatric rehabilitation center.

Attendees were treated to a silent auction featuring a vast array of items including everything from sporting tickets to a day of golf with local music Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper.After a delicious dinner, a touching video presentation spotlighted three children who are patients at the Mesa facility. The stories of these brave children helped make the live auction a huge success and raise thousands of dollars.

The final live auction item was an autographed guitar from Linkin Park that would eventually sell for $10,000. The prize was in such high demand that lead singer Chester Bennington decided to auction off two additional Linkin Park guitars and raised $30,000.

After the auction, Bennington played an intimate acoustic set with Dead By Sunrise on the ballroom stage. The 40-minute, eight-song set put the focus on material by the singer's side band, including "Crawl Back In" and "Let Down." Dead By Sunrise also features Julien-K singer Ryan Schuck, who sang the Julien-K songs "I'll Try Not to Destroy You" and "Palm Spring Reset." They also played one Linkin Park track, "Messenger."When the set was over, Bennington took time to speak to the children in attendance and take photos with excited fans. It was wonderful to see Bennington's commitment to the community and the children. He truly is a class act.

Sure, he's sold millions of records and headlined any number of the most prestigious music venues in the world. But Chester Bennington of Linkin Park seems pretty stoked to be the featured entertainment at the second annual Stars of the Season: A Night in Rio at Montelucia Resort & Spa in Scottsdale. That's because all proceeds benefit a cause both near and dear to the tattooed rocker's heart - Cardon Children's Medical Center in Mesa, Banner Health's only pediatric medical facility.

Bennington's wife Talinda, currently expecting twins, has volunteered at Cardon Children's since it opened.

So has Bruiser, the family's Boston Terrier.

And Bennington himself has dropped in on his share of patients, signing autographs, posing for pictures and otherwise brightening the day for the patient and singer alike.

"They're in here struggling through some pretty long days and some pretty intense treatments," Bennington says, "so it's kind of cool to see their faces light up when I walk in the room."

Talinda got involved at Cardon Children's first.

"Our next-door neighbor is a nurse here," she says. "And before the hospital was completely built, she knocked on my door and said 'Banner is building this new children's hospital. Would you like to be part of it by volunteering as part of fund-raising? With your husband's name, we believe you could bring a lot to the hospital.' I came down here and fell in love with it. I walked the hospital and saw what it could be."

And the timing was perfect.

As Bennington says, "Talinda had really been itching to do something for the community and she wanted to get our dogs, or at least Bruiser, involved in some type of pet program where he could provide some type of companionship or therapy for people."

Bruiser, as it turns out, likes the work.

"We can volunteer at any Banner hospital," Talinda says. "But actually, my dog likes to be with the kids. When we go to the adult side, he doesn't want to go into the rooms and interact with patients. When we come here, he'll just lie with the child for, like, an hour if they let him."

Bruiser's put more time in at the hospital than Bennington.

But to be fair, he does less touring.

"I've come down and met some of the children that have had extended stays here or they may have gotten here the night before with a broken arm or something," Bennington says. "I come down and just kind of say 'Hi.' Some of the older kids, older teen or even into the high school years, they get pretty excited. I bring in CDs and pictures to sign and just talk. It's nice to see them get distracted for a little bit."

Some kids get more than distracted.

As Dr. David Curran, chair of the medical center's Department of Pediatrics, recalls with a laugh, "These kids get in their skinny jeans. They get their hair all fixed up. It's a big deal."

The Benningtons, who live in Gilbert, helped the hospital secure the entertainment at the first Stars of the Season, Art Alexakis of Everclear. They also donated two LP packages with tickets to a Linkin Park show, which brought in $7,000 each at last year's auction after Bennington, who couldn't be there because he was rocking Australia that day, agreed to get on the phone for a chat with winner.

"I leaned over to Talinda," Curran recalls, "and I said, 'Would he talk to the winner?' That got us an extra 2 grand per package."

This year, Bennington is playing. But the other guys from Linkin Park won't be there. He's performing with his other project, Dead by Sunrise.

"We'll be playing stripped-down, more acoustic," he says. "It's not gonna be like a Linkin Park show, but I just had surgery on my shoulder a month ago, so it's probably better that I'll be doing a calmer version of my music."

The event, held Saturday, Nov. 12, is sponsored by the Banner Health Foundation. It has a goal of raising $250,000 in support of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center at Cardon Children's. Last year's event raised $170,000 for the medical center's Integrative Pediatric Pain Management Program.

Tina Curran, the co-chair, with Monica Monson, of this year's event, says, "What's so exciting is that the Pediatric Rehabilitation Center is a center that combines the best physicians and best therapists. A patient can come in and see the physician and the therapist, from birth all the way to 18. It's in-patient. It's out-patient. It takes into account the children who need therapy on a weekly basis as well as the children who, at different ages in their life, would need therapy."

In addition to Bennington's performance, a Night in Rio will feature a silent auction, a live auction and a raffle, with Jon Kelley of Extra! as the emcee.

"Chester and Talinda have been tremendous supporters," says Tina Curran. "Last year, it was through Chester and Talinda that we were able to secure Art for our entertainment. And this year, we were so honored, truly, that Chester has said yes, he will play. We know how huge that is."

And Bennington is glad to do it.

"We have a lot of charities we work with," he says. "But after coming and seeing the kids and how happy they are to see Bruiser, and all the wonderful people we've met and become friends with at the hospital, it really has become something that we're passionate about. It's a special thing when you see a child who's sick or injured. Their lives have been so short and they're so innocent. There's so much hope. They just want to live and be healthy. And so, when we raise money this year to bring in the therapies we're looking for and helping out the families, that's the rewarding part."

Chester while talking to Japanese Formula One driver Kobayashi confirmed that he and Talinda are indeed having twins. Read their encounter below:

This was before qualifying, and the lead singer of Linkin Park – Chester Bennington – was there meeting the Force India team, because they’re huge in India and were playing after the race. All of a sudden Kobayashi comes over and he’s almost bowing in front of this guy, this is his hero, it was a bizarre moment! He was asking him “What are you doing here? I love your music! I really wish I could come and see you but I don’t think I’ll be able to because the race will be going on.” The problem was they were starting at half 10, and the race didn’t finish until ten o’clock, but he said “I’ll try and make it but it’ll only be if I crash out!” And then Kobayashi went and crashed in qualifying so it was quite funny! But then he said, “If I can’t make the concert why don’t you come to the party, we’ll probably be going to the Amber Lounge?” And Chester said “No, I don’t party anymore.” Kobayashi asked him “Why not, you’re a rocker?” and he replied “I’ve got four kids and twins on the way; I’m a family man I don’t go out partying anymore!” That just made it all even funnier, because Kobayashi was in awe of this guy because they’re big in Japan too.

Honoring the six month anniversary of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the northeastern coast of Japan, Linkin Park visits children affected by the disaster in Ishinomaki, accompanied by international children’s agency Save the Children.Within days following the disaster, Linkin Park launched a massive fundraising campaign through Music for Relief, with all proceeds going to Save the Children’s relief and recovery efforts in Japan.Six months later, Linkin Park was on the ground in the north-eastern town of Ishinomaki to witness first-hand how children are coping, and see how Save the Children’s efforts are making a difference in the recovery process.The first stop was Taizen elementary school, where band members met the principal and listened to his story of what it was like for him and the kids at his school the day the disaster struck. The band then went up to meet with the children in grade 6 who have been practicing their emergency drills, now with new disaster-preparedness hoods given to them by Save the Children. Linkin Park band members Chester Bennington, Mike Shinoda and Dave Farrell got to try on the disaster hoods and learn how these help protect children from falling debris and possible fires – reducing the risk that children face when disaster hits. As some 20% of the world’s earthquakes take place in Japan, preparing for the next disaster is a key component to keeping children safe. Band member Mike Shinoda then visited the school’s child-care center, for kids aged 6-9, where he got to see some of the materials Save the Children has provided the center – including back-to-school kits and backpacks, games for the children, and emergency kits with flashlights and other essential items to help protect children in the event of a future earthquake or tsunami.The band members then headed to Ishinomaki Kita High School, where they were greeted by a group of excited fans. The band toured the campus, and joined in a music class with the students, witnessing first-hand how music and play can bring joy to those recovering from a major natural disaster. In a workshop led by Save the Children partner “Drum Café”, the teens and the band members were given tam-tams and challenged to follow the rhythms of the Drum Café percussionists.“It was incredible to see firsthand the happiness in the students’ faces, despite the hardships they have endured for the past six months,” said Shinoda. “It was an honor to represent Music For Relief and our supporters worldwide on this visit, bringing their good wishes to the young people still recovering.”Six months after the earthquake, although children’s immediate needs have been met, the longer-term recovery is a process that will take years, says Save the Children. “The first six months are only the beginning. From our experience responding to disasters around the world – from Katrina and Christchurch, to Pakistan and Haiti – we know that recovering from a natural disaster of this scale is a long process that entails much more than brick and mortar. Children and their communities need to recreate their social links and cope with the emotional wounds left behind by the disaster,” said Save the Children CEO Hironobu Shibuya. The organization has launched a five-year recovery program, funded by generous contributions from donors around the world, including Linkin Park’s Music for Relief. “Linkin Park’s visit has been so important to us in highlighting the longer-term needs of children in recovering from this disaster, and helping our donors see the impact our response has had to date.”Music for Relief was created by Linkin Park in 2005 to provide aid for those affected by the Indian Ocean Tsunami, and has since raised over 4 million USD towards humanitarian relief efforts.Save the Children has been working in Japan for 25 years, and responding to children’s needs in emergencies around the world for over 90 years.

I am personally interested in it, and it’s something I enjoy doing,” Brad said.Brad, who graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a degree in communication studies, has actually set up with his wife a scholarship fund that annually awards four-year scholarships at the UCLA. As long as some people claim that the site is "dead" i would like to make a little statement HERE so everyone can read it.

Me and Jen have our own lifes. We have families, dogs and friends. Im studying and have a boyfriend.
I have agreed years ago to help Jen with posts 'cause I used to sent a lof of stuff which were later published here. At the begging it was me and 2 other girls helping with posting stuff.
I won't say much from/about Jen, I would like to say about me. I DO have my personal life. Linkin Park is not the only band i love, who i love because of the MUSIC not the bandmates. I do have other interests than them. Musically and beyond music too.
When I started participating in this site i was younger, i cant remember whatever I was 18 or smth around that. Now im nearly 22 and i still enjoy posting stuff and looking at guys, how they grown up and became fathers and how their music changed. How their music has changed me somehow too. I enjoy posting about charity work which all LADIES and their lovely and carrying husbands (boyfriends) do. I do help other ppl as much as i can too. I think we should all be helping others who has less luck in their lifes. It doesn't have to be a lot of money or smth, sometimes it's only about small gesture.

I wish there is something more recently WE can post about. Im looking at google and yahoo every week to check if there's smth new. If i can find smth i post it asap when Im done with studying and friends and so on... I wish ANNA would write smth about her first novel 'cause i have found infos at some pages that book is not coming out next year but in 2013.

But there is NOTHING we can do to post something unless it is on web or Ladies would post it (i mean Talinda, Anna, Heidi) by themselves. (ok, maybe sometimes if it is CLOSET update.)

ANYWAY, i just want to make it all clear. Sorry if it's too long.

"Because it wasn't just the war," he says. "It was fear in their neighbourhood and everything, for years. My dad remembers being in school with my uncle, and the teacher would say outright to the class that the Japanese were second-class citizens and shouldn't be trusted. Before the war my family had a grocery store and a barber's shop, but after internment it was destroyed and they had to start again as strawberry pickers. But they won't talk about it. I wanted to tell these stories because nobody else will."

Arleta teenager's last wish is to meet Linkin Park

I saw this story at LPLive and it breaks my heart...

A 14-year-old boy is fighting for his life -- battling brain cancer -- and now his parents are asking the public for help in fulfilling his last wish.

Kyle Rodas was diagnosed with the deadly disease in October. He has since lost most of his sight, his speech is extremely limited and he depends entirely on his parents to take care of him at their home in Arleta.

Oscar Rodas and Marty Valle say they would do anything for their only son, but add that they cannot fulfill his last wish.

Kyle's parents say it would be a dream come true if he could meet one of his favorite rock bands that includes, Linkin Park, Green Day and Ozzy Osbourne.

Linkin Park will premiere their new video for the song "Iridescent" from the upcoming Transformers movie, Transformers: Dark Of The Moon on VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia on Thursday, June 2 at 8PM ET.

MTV's "The Seven" will air exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot on Thursday, June 2 at 5pm ET/PT in anticipation of MTV's video premiere on Friday.

Judge Rules Linkin Park's Lawsuit Against Insurer Can Go to Trial

Linkin Park's lawsuit, alleging Lloyd's of London wrongfully denied the band's claim after frontman Chester Bennington's back injury prompted the cancellation of tour dates, can move to trial, a judge ruled on Friday.

His injury caused the band to cancel six concerts in China and Taiwan that same month, and its members want Lloyd's to cover their losses.

After Lloyd's denied the claim, the band sued the insurance company in March 2010, alleging breach of contract and breach of the covenant of good faith and fear dealing.

Lawyer Alexander Rufus-Isaacs, on behalf of the famed British insurance company, argued the vocalist has had ongoing back pain since 1998 and that Lloyd's was justified in denying the band's $2 million claim because he did not tell the insurance company about his condition.

But Sohigian said the key issue was not what Bennington did or did not disclose, but whether he was truthful in what he said on the application.

Attorneys submitted parts of Bennington's deposition in opposition to the motion.

``It felt like my pelvis popped away from my spine ...,' the 34-year-old singer said. ``It was -- it literally felt like a giving feeling, and then immediately with this just excruciating pain that was --- I mean, it was the worst ... pain I've ever experienced in my life.'

Bennington said his son left him moments earlier to go eat lunch and that he was trying to finish a wing on the plane. He said he hurt himself when he leaned forward to reach a Tinkertoy piece.

``Because everybody was downstairs, they couldn't hear me,' he said.

``I was, like, screaming for them to help me.'

The singer said he was unsure how much he could move without further hurting himself.

``So I managed to get myself on my hands and knees, and then ... I kind of pulled myself up to my feet, using the bookshelf, and then slowly kind of making my way down the hall.'

He says he gave up when he got half way down the hall.

``I ended up laying on my stomach with my hands kind of underneath my pelvis to kind of relieve that arch in my lower back and that's when I heard they'd finally heard me, and so my wife and all my kids and grandma came running up,' Bennington said. ``They called 911 at that point and I was taken to the hospital.'

Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Vincent D'Onofrio is the catalyst for a film adaptation of the 2001 Eric Bogosian novel Mall. The film will mark the feature directing debut of Linkin Park's Joe Hahn, and will star D'Onofrio, Chelsea Handler and Bogosian. D'Onofrio is producing with partner Erika Hampson and The Collective's Sam Maydew. D'Onofrio also wrote the script with Joe Vinciguerra and Sam Bisbee. The film follows the intersecting paths of five disaffected suburbanites: a stoner teen, a restless housewife (a dark role to be played by Handler), a voyeuristic businessman (D'Onofrio), a mall security guard and a trigger-happy crystal meth addict who heads to the mall looking for trouble. Bogosian will play a store owner.
