Linkin Park To Stage Kids-Only Charity Gig

>> Feb 21, 2002

Just because they sing of a cold existence on record, it doesn't mean the gentlemen of Linkin Park can't warm our hearts by doing something nice for charity.

The group is scheduled to perform a special, kids-only show March 4 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, California, to benefit TrinityKids Care, Los Angeles' first pediatric hospice, providing at-home care to terminally ill children, according to a venue spokesperson. Only those between the ages of 11 and 15 will be admitted with an $85 ticket, which also includes a light buffet.

For the children's parents or fans over 21, a cocktail reception will be held in another part of the venue. Grown-up tickets go for $250 apiece.

The Southern California group, which garnered three Grammy Award nominations, including one for Best New Artist (see "U2, India.Arie Lead Grammy Pack"), will wrap its Projekt Revolution Tour February 24 in Las Vegas (see "Linkin Park 'Rock A Rhyme Like This' At Cheese Country Gig").
